Best Western Granada Suite Hotel is new Sponsor Hotel

Southern Bears President Matthew Akins has met with Michael Halpner, General Manager, of the Best Western Granada Suite Hotel located at 1302 West Peachtree St. in Midtown. Both guys worked together to arrive at a negotiated rate for the Southern Bears to offer out of town members and other guys that  come into town for meetings, bar nights and scheduled events. The negotiated rate of $99.00 plus tax is available year round (EXCEPT DURING BEAR ALL JULY 4 – 8^th) for a standard king room or a standard room with 2 queen beds. This is a savings of appx. $25.00 per night off their BAR (best available rate). A free hot breakfast buffet and free Yi-Fi is included. Valet/self parking is $15.00 per night. The hotel offers a free shuttle with a 3-mile radius from 7AM – 10 PM on weekends that includes the Atlanta Eagle.

Although the hotel doesn’t have a pool, it is very clean, the staff is very friendly and the hotel will undergo a multi million-dollar renovation over the next few months. The hotel only has 104 rooms and suites and is located ½ block from MARTA’s Arts Center Station.

Michael, the General Manager, and his partner are regular patrons at the Atlanta Eagle and over ½ of his staff are gay and the others are very gay friendly.
