The Christmas toy drive for the kids at Jerusalem House is well underway.  We are asking all members to bring a new unwrapped toy to the Christmas party on December 8th.  A list showing the ages and sex of the children will be posted to the Yahoo group.  Any non member who would like more information on donations can contact Matthew at mgaema@msn.com or on his cellphone at 404 372-3085 after November 27.

Congratulation to our 2008 Board of Directors.  They are: President Matthew Akins, Vice President John Beck, Secretary Anthony Brookshire, Treasurer Scott Beck, and Membership Coordinator Scott Moss.

Congratulations to all of our 2007 Southern Bears sward winners.  They are: Spirit of the Southern Bears award winners Scott Moss, Chris Falk and Derek Enterkin; Southern Bears Extra Mile award winners Tim Hester, Ray Knott, Dan Fitzgerald and Jason Bourg; Southern Bear Distinguished Service Award Winners Bob Russakoff, James D Lake, and John Beck; the Southern Bears Rising Star Award for first year members winner Skip Seevers; the Southern Bears President's Cup winner Anthony Brookshire.  The final award given, which was voted on by the general membership, was the Southern Bear of the Year award.  The award for 2007 was presented to Ed Sitton.  Congratulations and thank you to all of our award winners for their contributions to the club.
