This webpage is for the use of members of Southern Bears, those wishing to
become members, as well as anyone wanting to learn more about the bear
community. Southern Bears is based in Atlanta, GA, and is an organization of hirsute
individuals and their admirers. The purpose of Southern Bears is to arrange
social events for its members. This website and our Yahoo group provides the
means of communication about our activities.
Membership in the Southern Bears is open to any male who is hirsute or
admires the hirsute. There are no physical characteristics required for
membership. All members must be at least 21 years of age.
Southern Bears plans monthly gatherings such as potluck dinners, social outings,
movies and other events where bears and friends can gather and enjoy each
other's company. We welcome guests to any of our events or meetings.
We have many photos of previous events and will be adding more over time as
well as a calendar of upcoming events, so be sure to check out our website often.
Our Yahoo group, SouthernBearsAtl, is designed to help our members stay current
on club news and events. If you are a member of Southern Bears or would
like to be notified of our events and you do not belong to the Yahoo group,
please click here to go to the Join page for the Yahoo group. Just fill
out the form and click the Join button - a moderator will approve you soon.

Southern Bears also sponsors ABF, "Atlanta Bear Fest", as well as the Southeastern
Bear Gathering and "Mr. Southern Bear and Cub" each year.
We also involve ourselves in many fund raising efforts for various charities
and encourage our members to donate their time and skills.
We currently hold our monthly meetings on the 2nd Saturday of each month. The
Board of Directors meeting starts at 7:15 PM followed by the general meeting at
8:00 PM.
We meet at The Atlanta Eagle. Visitors are most welcome.
